      For what ?

in the new grace period I’m trying to help a run-away domestic worker to become legal and continue working by transferring her to my husbands sponsorship as a domestic worker for us. We are from New Zealand.
I have been getting so many mixed stories about how to do this and the Jawazat office workers refused any advice or help.
Is there any clear step by step guide to explain the process?

    • SaudiXpert

Until now there is no clear step by step guide to explain the process and even the Jawazat people seem to confused. And rules seem to be changing on daily basis.
However, the first step should be to get passport if the maid does not have one with her now. She can get a new one by applying to her embassy. Also she can get info at the embassy regarding the latest procedure for transfer of sponsorship.
Word of caution: I hope the worker you are transfering is reliable and will not run away after you make her legal.

    • SaudiXpert

      1. You need to have your attested degree in order to change your profession.
      2. You need to have iqama to change your profession.

      • player

can it be changed after grace period ?? 3 nov??

        • SaudiXpert

Yes it can be done after grace period also.
However, you need to keep in mind that if you are caught working on the wrong profession, you may be penalised.
Also, there is no fee for profession change during grace period (see point 8)

Good day to you my friend, just wanted to ask if there will be a problem for me because I am working as Statistical Assistant (same as Secretary) but in my IQAMA my job title is Mechanical Technician.

I asked my Company and they said that it is ok and no need to change my Iqama/Visa job title because our Company is in Green Category and I am working as supplied manpower to Saudi Aramco. Please I still need second opinion and advise. Thank you very much. Will appreciate it a lot if you can send me a response on my email ad : [email protected]

    Thank you.

As per the law, the work which you do and the profession on iqama should match.
