News – Eid and Saudi National Day could be on the same date

 

Saudi Arabia: Moon is expected to be sighted on the 13th of September, which is the start of Dhu Al Hajah, making the Eid set the date for the 23rd of September, also celebrated as the National Day of Saudi Arabia.

Normally the Eid begins on the 10th of Dhu Al Hajah when Muslims from around the globe begin their annual pilgrimage, also known as Hajj.

‘Dhu Al Hajah, moon will be sighted on the 13th of September and Eid will Adha will fall on the 23rd of September’ said a UAE astronomer.

This also concludes for the Public Sector in KSA that can could have a 4 day Eid break this year.
