Riyadh Metro Works – Olaya Road Made One Way

As works for Riyadh Metro started in April, 2014, many roads in Riyadh as expected to be made narrow or made one way or completely closed temporarily.

Riyadh metro announced today (25th September, 2014) starting coming Saturday corresponding to 27th September, 2014, there will be many traffic detours on Olaya Road. In fact, some parts of Olaya Road will be made one way.

The changed routes will be as follows:

Olaya Street – Traffic will be directed southbound only, between Prince Sultan bin AbdulAziz Street, while local traffic will move northbound between major intersections, to access commercial strips and residential neighbourhoods on the east side of Olaya Street.

Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz  street (Thalatheen) Traffic will flow one-way only, eastbound, between Olaya and Abdullah al-Hamdan streets.

Abdullah al-Hamdan street – Traffic will be one way only, northbound, from Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz to Prince Mamdouh bin Abdul Aziz  streets, and will continue northbound, one-way, Engr. Musaad Al Anqari street to Prince Sultan bin Salman street.

Prince Sultan bin Salman street – Traffic will be one-way only, west bound, between Engr. Musaad al Anqari & Olaya Streets.
